Classes Canceled & Learning Continues

On January 16, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day was celebrated on campus. Dr. Aaron Lavender spoke at chapel and students and faculty gathered in the afternoon to share about the lives of influential African Americans in their prospective fields of study. This year’s theme was “Lift” as we lift up the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and others around us.

Dr. Aaron Lavender was the Martin Luther King Jr. Day keynote speaker at Taylor University.

Members of the Fellowship Missionary Church Fort Wayne led worship at the TU worship service on January 16, 2023.

The J-term Urban Ministry class shared about the life work of Rev Dr. Don Davis. Students pictured are seen studying his literary work. 
40 Education majors created 9 snapshots of impactful leaders from around the world.
Maribel Magallanes, Director of Student Leadership and Cultural Programs, created hero highlights about unique Christian leaders.
The Office of Intercultural Programs (OIP) became a coffee house for students to read poetry, share music and life stories as part of our “Lift and Learn” efforts. The partnership of students and faculty at important life moments encourages Christ-like living. Professor Julie Moore and Ronnie Jackson share a moment together.
Campus guests engaged with current students as they lived out “intentional community”.
Student leader, Delani Rodriguez, participated in the afternoon after having co-led a 12 hour prayer vigil overnight.

Revelation 7:9

Matthew 5:23-24
