The Intercultural Leadership & Church Relations main offices in Sickler Hall are adding some artwork this week. Photographer & student, Marissa Williams, gathers people together and captures their worth through her camera lens. Since transferring to Taylor, she has brought together people by their gender, ethnic heritage, community group, and proximity to others. Her pictures are more than simply a photographic record, they communicate beauty on a different level. We are reminded in Genesis 1:27 that we are made in God’s image. Marissa’s work demonstrates uniquely how God sees His creation. I once asked Marissa where she gets the inspiration for her picture groupings, and she said, “God shows me what to do.” Now when you visit the upper level of Sickler Hall, you can see Marissa’s work in the front and back stairways. Walk slow, and take it all in!
